London is one of the best places to live if you’re wanting to try something new. Although it is good for the usual chain of restaurants, it is always great when you find somewhere you’ve never been (especially when it’s vegan).
Located in Shoreditch, is Mooshies Vegan Burger bar- the perfect place if you’re not looking for a proper sit-down meal and if you’re looking to satisfy those unhealthy junk-food cravings. Mooshies offers light, relaxed, friendly and casual atmosphere, providing their customers with a delectable, junk food (that is covertly healthy) that doesn’t break the bank-the perfect package! Preparing all their ingredients daily, the burgers were stupendous, down to every last delicious morsel.
My time as a vegan has led me to some pretty disappointing vegan burgers, if i’m honest, I’m always beyond annoyed when all I get is nothing more than a sliver of sad mushroom between two slices of bread. But behold, Mooshies surpassed all my expectations:
The Magic Mushroom Burger-

The Magic Mushroom Burger was un-bloody-believable. A spicy, panko fried oyster mushroom, with a crispy hash brown and srircha mayo. The bun was so crispy and delicious , sometimes I find vegan burgers to be way too wet but this was perfect. It hit that perfect combination between spicy and sweet, the mushroom was unreal and provided the perfect meaty texture that is sometimes missed by others. I’d rate this beauty a solid 10/10.
Their menu offers a lush range of burgers for you to try, offering the classics of a black bean patty burger to the a fillet-om-phish burger with aubergine, tatar sauce and nori seaweed *drools*. Along side their killer burger selection, they offer a range of sides including cheesy fries, loaded nachos, and fresh guac! You can even have the option of having salad if you’re wanting to maybe make this ‘cheat day’ a little less cheating. But if you wanna go all the way? Hit that dessert menu. You won’t be disappointed.
If you and your mates, vegan or not, fancy something that is warming, delicious and chill, hit up Mooshies when you have a chance. You won’t be disappointed.
